Remove SpyAxe

I was successful in ridding myself of all SpyAxe related files by downloading the program MoveOnBoot.

Several forums mention other removal programs and specific removal procedure. Feel free to leave any advice in the comments section of this entry. Thanks.

I have been hit with this spyware, and it sucks. I can't seem to get it off the computer. So Moveonboot worked for you, what were the file names you had to delete?

Yes, it worked great for me. Once, you download moveonboot and install it, run a search on all of the following and right click on each choosing Remove file(s) after next reboot.

The culprits are said to be:

mscornet.exe
mssearchnet.exe
nvctrl.exe
spyaxe.exe
ioctrl.dll
svchosts.dll
hp[X].tmp. ("X" means any numeric combination of four digitits. just search "hp tmp" and delete anything you see).

Please write back if there is any addittional problems.
